چکیده
The methods of constructing physical unclonable functions (PUF), which are the basis cryptography, analyzed. broad applicability Arbiter PUF, based on analysis delays signal transmitted along two paths, is noted. It shown that randomness explained by technological variations in manufacturing process PUF and their dependence use homogeneous repeating elements ensure symmetry paths. As an alternative to existing solutions, article proposes a new approach for asymmetric sources as logical element investigated. Their diversity distinctive characteristics depending number inputs active supplied values at other inputs. A technique balancing set pairs paths proposed, lays regulating duration impulse test four types path asymmetry. New structures with proposed. Experimental studies confirm possibility using various form delays.

A new Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) construction is described, by treating silicon unique features extracted from PUF circuits as “genetic material” unique to each silicon, and recombining this chip-unique material in a way to obtain a combination of advantages not possible with the original PUF circuits, including altering PUF output statistics to better suit PUF-based key generation and ...

Secure cryptographic keys are a prerequisite to protect the data that is transmitted and stored by today’s and tomorrows embedded systems in the Internet of Things. For many of those systems, secure Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) is not available due to technical and cost constraints. Silicon Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) evaluate manufacturing variations to generate unique secrets inside Int...
متن کاملRevisiting Optical Physical Unclonable Functions
We revisit optical physical unclonable functions (PUFs), which were introduced by Pappu et al. [36, 37] in their seminal and historically first publication on PUFs. We start our studies with non-integrated PUFs. We discuss their resilience against machine learning attacks, and systematically study the influence of using more than one laser beam, varied laser diameters, and smaller scatterer siz...
